Ten Places to Take Your Family for Labor Day Weekend 
(Easy, fun trips to allow you and your family to make it back to school/work on time and be well rested for the next day)

1. Rose Tree Park 
Located at 161 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA 19063 on 120 acres of picturesque rolling hills and woodlands. This park includes picnic areas, bird/nature watching, and historic buildings. And yes, Rose Tree Park is dog friendly.

2. Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
These two great parks at 4000 Dorney Park Rd. Allentown, PA 18104 are just an hour away. Enjoy rollercoasters, a waterpark, family rides, and child rides. Whether your family likes thrills or cooling off in the water, Dorney has you covered.

3. Xscape the Room 
Located at 1 and 25 W. Third St. Media, PA 19063 you have 1 hour to escape a “locked” room with your friends & family as part of a real, live adventure with secret passage ways. Use teamwork and problem solving skills to escape the room. Best of all, No special training is required (anybody can do it)
Xscape the Room is CLOSED LABOR DAY but open Saturday and Sunday.

4. Chester Park
Located in Chester, PA on 72 acres of beautiful scenery this park includes tennis courts & soccer fields, an outdoor roller rink, and newly installed swings. You could also visit one of Chester Park’s picnic areas or take a nature walk.

5. Smedley Park
120 acres of tranquility and recreational areas located at 20 Paper Mill Rd. Springfield, PA 19064. This park is trolley accessible and includes picnic areas, play areas for children, and  hiking/walking paths as well as several sports fields (softball, soccer, etc).

6. Upland Park
Formerly the site of Camp Upland, this park at 280 6th St. Brookhaven, PA 19015  covers over 60 scenic acres. The old campground turned park includes a playground for the children, picnic areas, softball fields, and walking/nature trails.

7-9. Wildwoods (#7 Wildwood, #8 North Wildwood, #9 Wildwood Crest)
Enjoy a beach day at the Jersey shore on the large beaches of Wildwood, NJ (approx. 2 hour drive). The boardwalk includes arcades and amusement piers with 100+ rides and attractions including rollercoasters and waterparks. Stay cool and try jet skiing, parasailing, wave running, and surfing. 10. John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum
Located nearby at 8601 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19153, the Refuge contains nature trails and is open to the public every day. Come hike on 10 miles of trails, kayak and canoe in the largest freshwater marsh in Pennsylvania, or just relax and observe the wildlife for a while. Several SEPTA stops are located in the blocks surrounding the Refuge for easy travel.
