“He’s a Mitch!,” said in a Kevin Hart voice and I knew exactly what he meant. You see, I am a reluctant fan of “The Real Husbands.” I hate the idea of reality shows, but a comedian making a fake reality show just tickles my funny bone.

I love the holidays. I love the smells, the snacks, the time with family. What I don’t love is the hustle and bustle, the over-spending, and the many people who forget that the season is about love.

I know we don’t think of the 1970s as a time of racial progression, but listening to this song had me thinking. Was it easier to talk about race in the immediate aftermath of the civil rights movement?
